According to the new modification of the <<Law on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce>> (LSSICE) established by the Order in Council 13/2012, it is a must to obtain the consent of the user of all website that use dispensable cookies, before surfing by them.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies and other similar technologies such as “local shared objects”,”flash cookies” or “pixels”, are tools used by web servers to store and get information about the visitors, as well as offering a correct working of the website.
Thanks to these tools the webs server can remember some data about the user, such as the preferences for visiting the pages of a server, name and password, her/his most wanted products, et cetera.
AFFECTED AND NON AFFECTED COOKIES BY THE LAW
According to guideline of the UE, the cookies that need the approval of the user are the analytic, publicity and subscription cookies, no being affected the technical cookies and those necessary for the running of the website or render a service requested by the user.
WHICH KIND OF COOKIES EXIST?
Concerning the kinds of cookies, there are five kinds of groups
Analytical cookies: They store information about the use of the website.
Social cookies: Those necessary for external social networks.
Cookies for subscribers: They allow to follow the visitors coming from other websites, with which the website stablish an agreement of subscription (Subscription companies)
Publicity and behavioural cookies: They obtain information about personal preferences and choices that the user makes (retargeting).
Technical and functional cookies: These ones are essentials for the use of a website and the render or the services.

PHPSESSID: Technical cookie necessary that contains the session identifier.
_ga: Google Analytics cookie that allows to control the visits. The first time a user comes into the website through a browser, this cookie will be installed When this user comes back to the website with the same browser, the cookie will consider him as the same user. He will be considered as a new user if the visit to the website is carried out from another browser. It expires after 2 years of the last update.
_gat: This cookie is associated to Google Analytics Universal. It is used to limit the speed of request – the limitation is stored from data on sites with higher traffic.. It expires after 10 minutes.
ac_cookies: Technical cookie that contains the value about the installation of cookies. It expires after 1 year after its last update
THE REVOCATION ABOUT THE APPROVAL TO INSTALL COOKIES. HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM THE BROWSER
1. Select the tools icon
2. Click on configuration.
3. Click Show Advanced Options.
4. In the section <<Privacy>> click Content Configuration.
• Delete cookies: Click in All Cookies and data from websites…
• Don’t allow cookies storing.
5. Click on Delete browsing data (Empty the Caché).
6. Close and reboot the browser.

INTERNET EXPLORER. VERSIÓN 11
1. Select tools | Internet Options.
2. Click in the option General.
3. In the section “Browsing History”, click Delete browsing history when exiting.
4. Select delete data.
5. Select delete cookies.
6. Click on delete.
7. Click on accept.
8. Close and reboot the browser.

1. Select Firefox | History | Delete recent history.
2. Near the “Details” click the down arrow.
3. Select the following verification boxes: cookies, caché, active starting sessions
4. Using the “Interval of time to delete” in the drop-down menu, select All .

6. Close and reboot the browser.
